DMCA and Copyright Notice

MP4YT.online respects copyright and responds to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page explains how to send one.

How the service works

We do not run a catalogue of videos. A visitor pastes a link to a video that already exists on YouTube, and the service prepares a file for that visitor on request. The original video stays on YouTube.

That means the fastest way to remove a video is usually to report it to YouTube, which can take it down at the source. You are still welcome to write to us, and we will act on a valid notice.

Sending a copyright notice

Email [email protected] with the following. A notice that leaves out these details may not be acted on.

• Your full name, address, phone number and email address.
• A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, with a link to an authorised copy if one exists.
• The YouTube link or links involved, so we can find the exact material.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Please be accurate. Knowingly sending a false notice can make you liable for damages under section 512(f) of the DMCA.

What we do with a notice

When we receive a complete notice, we review it and, if it is valid, take reasonable steps such as blocking the link or video ID from the service. We may tell the person affected so they can respond.

Counter-notice

If we blocked something and you think that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:

• your name, address, phone number and email address;
• the link or video ID that was blocked;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that it was blocked because of a mistake or misidentification;
• a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where we can be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice;
• your physical or electronic signature.

We may pass your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not file a court action within the period the law sets, we may restore access.

Repeat infringers

We may block users or addresses that are the subject of repeated valid notices.
